Prominent forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution with emphasis on Mediation as the most productive means of resolving a dispute. Mediation includes the following elements: (a) the steps in the Mediation Process including the agreement to mediate and the limitations of the process; (b) breaking the ice with the disputants; (c) forging an agreement; (d) heading off conflict during mediation experience; (e) documenting an agreement. Each student shall be asked to prepare a paper which shall include their impressions regarding the strengths and weaknesses of mediation as a method of dispute resolution. The paper shall be spaced at 1.5 and shall employ a Times New Roman 12 point font.
