Beginning a Literature Review
The readings so far have guided you toward thinking more about how research can help leaders better understand issues that are important in today’s organisations. The Final Project for this module requires you to select a research topic, conduct a critical literature review and select methods for data collection and analysis. You will reflect on the management research literature you have read thus far and what topic would be valuable to your professional situation and interests. In this Activity, you will begin searching the literature for articles that can help you clarify your research topic and share ideas for how to search for and make sense of the research literature most effectively.
To prepare for this Activity: Read the following:-
Easterby-Smith, M., R. Thorpe, & P. Jackson, (2012) Management Research, 4th edition, London: SAGE Publications Search Google Scholar for at least two to four research articles that relate to your chosen research topic which is:-
Motivation and Staff Retention in Financial Shared Service Centers
To complete this Activity: Write a brief summary of how the articles you found relate to your research topic and whether they helped you refine or clarify your topic. Include any questions you still have about how to select or refine your topic and how to search the research literature most effectively.
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED MODEL ANSWER – and model something on this but for my topic. I would also like to include something on Millennials – motivation and retention. Please make sure that you read the brief above and ensure the tutor is used to writing research papers.
I imagine 500 words will be suitable. Google Scholar should be used for the research journals.
