Concept for The Digital Economy.
You are asked to write a concept note that addresses ONE of the following module themes : Platform Moderation Digital Personalisation The Digital Economy Digital Labour A concept note does several things:
a. it introduces the reader to the concept under discussion
b. it provides a critically-informed definition (not just the dictionary definition).
c. it gives an indication of what scholars have said on the subject, including whether there are any disagreements or debates on the usefulness or meaning of that concept
d. it identifies the role and importance of that concept in the field of study and explains how and why it is useful. A few reminders and guidance notes: The maximum word count for this assignment is 1500 words, including quotations and references. The bibliography is NOT counted in your word count for this assignment. This assessment tests your skills in theoretical comprehension, secondary research and writing fluency. You should use relevant scholars to support your work. Remember to draw from the lecture in week 4 and use the library – both physical and online. Ensure all referencing is in Harvard format and that you include a bibliography. Everything you quote, cite or use must be in the bibliography. Your concept note should be submitted via the e-submission system (see left-hand column “Assignments” on Canvas).
