Country Profile Research: Greece vs. Guinea.
1. Begin with the following resources to research your two countries. You may use other sources, as appropriate: a.The World Factbook b.The World Health Organization c.Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation 2. Research the following information about each country: (Greece vs. Guinea) a. Profile of national and international health organizations active in the country including a summary of the major services that each organization offers. b. The potential impact of climate change on the populations c. As it relates to Core Standard 6 of the Sphere Project, a summary of the key issues that aid workers from the organizations identified in item a. would need to be aware of. d. Economic, social, cultural, and/or political challenges related to items a. – c. above. 3. Summarize your findings in Action Item 2 for each country. Write a 900 – 1200 word (not counting your references) discussion post. a. Your post should be comprised of three clearly labeled sections: I. Research findings for your developed country (Greece) ii. Research findings for your developing country (Guinea) iii. A comparison of the the two countries in which you characterize the differences and/or similarities between the developed country and the developing country. b.
