Gamut is related with the colour reproduction which is included in the different graphics related with the computer. The gamut is also known as the colour gamut which comprises of a complete subset of different colours. The gamut which is mostly used comprises of all the subset colours and it is used when all the colours are accurately related with the circumstances. The circumstances are related with the different colour space which is linked with the output of a particular device. There is certain gamut which is not used frequently but is correct, in such type of gamut the entire set of colour is used inside the image at a particular instance of time. With the help of the gamut the digitalized photo is converted into different colour space image, or in other ways the conversion is done with the help of a particular device. During this process some of the colours in the original are lost. the word gamut comes from the field of music where it symbolizes the different pitches.

In this technique the process of calibration is used which gives better quality to the images. It also helps in comparing the different displays and post calibration can also be performed. All the displays which are present are not gamut in reality. However, the gamut gives perfect quality to the images and videos.
