EBI report

Task 1 (To be submitted with TMA 04) Although you have already submitted your scoping proposal with TMA 04 it will be useful at this stage to refer back to it as you write your reflective report. Task 2 (Submitted as TMA 06) Reflective report The reflective report on your EBI should be a formal report that reflects on the actions you have taken in your EBI cycles of inquiry. You will need to provide a critical analysis of the ideas you have used, based on your experiences of the cycles of inquiry. You may want to refresh your thinking of the principles of critical analysis, which are explained in Session 1.1 of Unit 1. In your critical analysis, you should discuss the usefulness (or otherwise) of the concepts and theories from B716 to your managerial practice. To make this evaluation, you will need to have gathered evidence as to what the impact has been of the EBI activities on your own management practice and thinking. You should ensure that the following issues are covered in your report: The areas of your practice addressed in your cycles of inquiry. (You may include a brief description of your work context, your role, and the stakeholders involved in your EBI). The theories you used in your EBI cycles of inquiry, and why and how you incorporated them or used them in your practice. The results of using these theories in your practice and your reflections on having done so. This should include a critique of the theories based on your experiences in the cycles of inquiry. What benefits (or otherwise) did you find regarding their usefulness to your practice? Why do you think this is the case? What alternatives did you try or want to try in the future? Be sure to include evidence to support your assertions and discussions. What has been the overall impact of having undertaken these cycles of inquiry for your practice? What are the next steps for you in terms of developing your practice with regard to your studies? You should provide a copy of your original scoping proposal (unchanged) as an appendix to this report. This appendix does not count toward the word count for the report. As this is a formal report, you should present it in a report format (please see the Assessment guidance for more information on report formats). As this is an academic piece written for your tutor, you will also need to adopt the appropriate academic referencing conventions. Note that the table of contents, references and appendices do not count toward the word count for the report.
