Final Reflection Paper: Philosophy of project management..
In this essay, please give me your philosophy of project management. In about 6 pages, I’d like you to describe the foundation for which you’ll approach project management from here on out. As an example (and this is mine! You have to come up with your own!): my philosophy of project management is that generally, projects don’t need to be managed people who work on projects do. Here are some questions to consider (again, only suggestions the connections you make among the topics of this course are yours):
● What makes a good project manager?
● What makes a good project team member?
● What is the difference between leadership and management and how might that influence how a project gets done?
Of course, you need to ground your argument in evidence. Use all relevant course materials (readings, lectures, activities, live sessions), and any outside research you need. Now for the interesting part: The how… While you alone are responsible for this paper, it will be written using an open, collaborative, peerreview process. I want you to work on this paper throughout the course of the semester, to give yourself time to reflect on material as you learn it as well as be able to contextualize it within the course as a whole. You will write this essay in Google Docs and you will share it with (and give editing/suggesting privileges to) your reviewers. I am one of your reviewers, and you may select a classmate of your choice as another reviewer. Ideally, you and your reviewer are a pair (you review their work, they review yours), but that isn’t a requirement. As you work on your piece, the reviewers will provide suggestions on how to make your argument clearer, offer alternative perspectives, and simply how to make your work the best it can be. This essay should be something you start around week 5 (or earlier! You do you!), and return to every week or so adding, revising, scrappingandstartingover, etc.
