First Amendment.

Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission (Links to an external site.) A baker refused to bake a cake for a gay couple’s wedding. As a result the gay couple complained to the Colorado Civil Rights Commission. The baker cited first amendment right to religious expression. It’s a good topic because it does bring a lot of questions. Can you force someone to support something that is against their religion? The court wanted him to bake the cake for them, that would violate his right to exercise his religion. Constitution vs State Law
