Food Impact
Subject: Community and Lifestyle Transformation. Climate Change and Climate Change Mitigation 3-5 pages Details: Take your meals for a day and assess their impact on the environment. How much CO2 did it take to happen? Questions to answer: 1. What was the meal? (my meals are eggs for breakfast, Romaine lettuce and tomatoes for lunch and dinner. I am in Kansas so wherever food in the USA has to travel to get to a Dillon’s grocery store because that is where i get my food.) 2. where did it come from? (so wherever lettuce/eggs/tomatoes that dillon’s gets comes from) 3. How did it get here? (airplane, truck, boat, etc. however it traveled from wherever it came from) 4. How far did it have to travel? (in miles) the equation the professor gave the class is taking distance to miles/gallon to CO2 emissions. so the answer will be in LBS/atoms or tons/atoms because the number will be very big. then give a comparison like the weight is equivalent to x number of semi trucks or school buses or something extreme.
