Assignment 1 will be a maximum of 2 pages, double spaced. No outside references are required. Students will define and describe their culture clash and why the clash is personally interesting in this assignment. After cutting and pasting Assignment 1 into a document, students will complete Assignment 2 over the next 2-6 pages. In Assignment 2, you will incorporate 3 concepts or therories from any of the assigned course readings into their discussion of their cultural clash. The goal of this assignment 2 is for students to argue why the clash is sociologically interesting. In Assignment 2, students are expected to cite three sources from the course readings and have a reference page (which will be the final page of the assignment, e.g. page 6 or 7).
