In the materials, I have included a screenshot of the prompt. It’s an essay about James Baldwin’s “Talk to Teachers” and the keywords he uses. I was going to focus on the words “Education” and “Paradox”. At the end, I was going to bring those two together and talk about his theory of educational paradox. I’ve linked his talk, along with three model essays (files titled EDUC 181 Essay, Model Keyword Essay 1, and Keywork Style Essay.) There is a section that will ask about my personal experiences, take the persona of a white liberal student wanting to become a teacher. I will fill up that section with personal details later.
