Using an essay format, your task:
Identify three different leaders or followers for example, one each from the world of politics, sport and business. With this in mind, you are required to produce an essay that:
(iv) Evaluates a range of approaches (theoretical underpinning) to leadership and followership
(v) Using point (i) above compare and contrasts the leadership or followership styles of your three chosen leaders, and
discuss (un)successful and (in)effective leadership strategies they posses in relation to marketing implementation of their particular profession – eg success as a political party leader
(vi) Through an assessment of your own particular leadership or followership style, identify to which one you are similar and to which one you are dissimilar, and why. You should conclude with a reflection on how you could improved your leadership or followership skills to maximise and achieve the desired outcome of their chosen profession, eg a football manager lacking the leadership skills necessary to achieve club/national success, therefore what would you do, how and why.
