Consider, think, and finally write about what you bring to this classroom. How do your different social identities impact how you experience life? Social identities are those aspects of the self we all share regardless of whether we acknowledge, agree with, identify with and/or want. They include: race, ethnicity, socio-economic class, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, etc. Start by thinking about why you experience things the way you do. Use this discussion post to describe and explain the relationships between your life experiences, ethnicity, education, race, ability, social class, gender, sexual orientation, and/or religion (as well as any other social identities) you wish to include) help to inform your decisions, your encounters with others, and your perceptions of the world. Think about how your personal experiences, beliefs, and attitudes inform how you communicate and respond to others and the world in which you live.
