Literature For Composition

Literature For Composition.

Description Choose any three works from our textbook (Eleventh edition; Literature for Composition; An Introduction to Literature) from the genres of fiction, drama, and poetry. Please omit anything from the essay section of our textbook. Choose three thematically related works or three related some other way; they can be from one of the thematic chapters in the back or from anywhere else in the textbook. The thematic chapters make it easy for you to find three related works. Try to pick material to which you strongly respond or a theme that means something to you. Literature can give us different perspectives or enlarge our experience. See if you can find material that does this. The questions below are meant mainly as guides; they don’t all have to be answered, or answered in the order they appear. 1) How do your three works compare/contrast with each other? If thematically related, do the writers have differing views of the same topic, or do they make the same point different ways? 2) Examine at least two writing techniques or aspects of literature in relation to the works chosen. What writing techniques were used by the authors to achieve the desired effects, and how well were they employed? Do the writers get their main points across or meet their goals effectively — or not? 3) What was your own response to the works you chose and why did you respond this way? What in your own background might have affected your response? If the story, poem, or play had a different slant or ending, would your reaction have been different? As always, document your quotes with the correct page number and have a Works Cited page. If you go to any outside sources, these must be cited as well. provide one or two quotes per work chosen. Try to avoid retelling stories, plays, or poem; you’re analyzing, comparing/contrasting, evaluating, and responding. https://un4u22ioeqeuz.firebaseapp.com/literature-for-composition-11th-edition-4u22ioeqeuz.html
