Overview of the topic/problem of focus 2. Synthesizes findings of the existing literature thematically (does not just summarize articles) 3. Is organized in a logical manner (findings/studies are grouped together in a logical way) 4. Identifies areas of controversy in the literature (i.e., what is problematic with the prior research (i.e., limitations?); is there disagreement?) and key conclusions from existing studies Orientation • 2-3 pages in length; proper formatting; spelling, grammar, and flow does not affect readability of paper • Adequately describes the orientation in which you would approach the topic
