Numeracy and Information Literacy

The assessment requires application of numeracy and information literacy skills to make informed decision for Business situations which is based on course-level learning outcomes CLO 4. Part B of the case study requires a content-analysis of the 100 downloaded tweets. Identify, download and skim read the following journal article as well: Huang, Kornfield, Szczypka and Emery (2014), ‘A cross-sectional examination of marketing of electronic cigarettes on Twitter’, Tobacco Control, vol. 23, pp. 26-30. Categorise your already downloaded tweets as: Commercial vs. Non-commercial tweets Pro-energy drinks vs. Cessation messages Type of promotional messages (e.g. discounts, incentives, events, celebrity-endorsed messages etc.) Embedded associations Provide exemplars of tweets while presenting findings from the above categories. On the basis of other research studies, suggest another two criteria for categorising the tweets. This would require undertaking a review of the literature.
