Operations Strategy – Quality Movement Description Part 1 (20%) Briefly explain how strategic tools such as Lean and SixSigma have evolved from their roots in the Quality Movement. Part 2 (40%) Critically evaluate the relevance of these approaches to the delivery of strategic improvements in service sector operations and supply chains, using at least one recent example from that sector. Part 3 (40%) Critically analyse the changing relevance of these techniques in the manufacturing sector, in light of the high degree of servitisation that appears to be occurring in many operations and supply chains there, using at least one other recent example from this sector.
