To assess your ability to: Outline the major sections and subsections for the organizational analysis final report. Describe identified challenges, opportunities, and areas for improvement of an organization in the vocabulary of organizational behavior. Overview The purpose of this assignment is to help you prepare for the final paper and report. Your outline should include to date the key items you have identified regarding your studied organization’s core behavioral practices e.g., conflict, communication, teams, etc. You should also identify your ideas so far for recommended improvements. Please ask your instructor for any clarification you need. Action Items Reflect on the information gleaned from Weeks 1-4 assigned readings, references, reflections, and your own personal behavioral observation from your selected organization. Prepare a 2-3 page outline titled Organizational Behavior Analysis: Outline with the following sections and subsections: Introduction Organizational Overview Relevant History Purpose and Mission Stakeholders Observed Organizational Behavioral Practices (based on concepts in the textbook) Effective Organizational Behavior Practices Organizational Behavior Challenges Organizational Behavior Opportunities Organizational Behavior Recommended Solutions Conclusion References Compose your outline in Microsoft Word. Include your name, the assignment name and number, the course and section number, and the date on your title page. Cite ALL sources according to APA guidelines. Use the outline as a framework for your 6-2: Final Report – Org Behavior Analysis. However, for this assignment, simply include a “summation” under each outline heading that notes the items you have addressed or will address to date in your final paper. Remember: This is only a draft outline of the final paper. Therefore, it is important to simply note under each heading in written form the key concepts, ideas, theories, and points you intend to apply in your final paper. Although you should absolutely reflect on material from earlier papers, do not simply “cut and paste” sections from earlier work. This is an ideal point to begin your original organizational behavior analysis. Support your outline with a minimum of 4 to 6 appropriate, scholarly references (from your textbook and other scholarly sources; e.g. library, journal databases and journal readings, and enrichment articles in this course). These should be noted in the paper as citations where they apply to your work. Remember that 10 scholarly references are required for your final paper.
