Parenting styles and Adoelscent behaviors.
Authoritative parenting styles have shown to have a positive influence in adolescent behaviours (violence, substance use and sexual risk taking) The health behaviours addressed in this paper are youth violence, substance use, and sexual risk taking. In the section on violence, you should discuss which parenting styles are associated with low rates of violence and managing and raising delinquent youths. Substance use should include the use of licit and illicit drugs including alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana. Lastly, you should examine sexual risk taking in adolescents and the factors of contraception use and delay of adolescent sexual intercourse.
