You will write an essay that addresses the topic you have selected for Assessment 2 and therefore, expand the research on this topic. ? Your essay should be a synthesis, a combination of the ideas you have developed and resources you have accessed. ? You must demonstrate a coherent link of argument and discussion in this essay. A minimum of (8) academic Peer-reviewed resources; 4 of which you have already collected for Assignment 2 (if you are not going to use one article from Assignment 2, you need to replace it by a new article). ? Current articles: 5 to 10 years old. ? You can use more resources (12 +). Ensure you limit the references to the following credible sources: • Journal articles with or without an abstract • Academic books, reviews of books and ebooks • Government reports, documents and websites Dissertations and Doctoral Thesis. Select and use One Referencing Style: The UniSA Harvard OR APA referencing style Use in-text References in your writing Provide a list of References at the end of your essay Writing an essay is different than writing a study guide, a business report or an annotated bibliography. Do not include sub-headings • Do not include dot-points • Do not use pictures unless they are part of the argument • Do not use formatting to emphasise words (like italics, bold or underline text). Submit the assignment in Word Document Double- line spacing, justified text, Times 12 or Arial 10 font • A normal or moderate margin (at least 2.5 cm) • Include your name, student ID and page numbers as a footer on all pages There is no need to include Abstracts from the Journals Add a note at the end with the word count and the selected referencing style. The word count for the final essay is 1500 words, however a variation of ±10% is usually acceptable. The word count does not include: The Title The in-text references The References List Tables and diagrams (in the appendices). Please note: Direct Quotes count towards your total word count in the essay. • The essay structure, logical planning and sequence Signposting is used to show connections Relevance of your answer to the question Discussing the key points in depth • Use of appropriate evidence to support the argument • Correct in-text referencing and the References ListCorrect grammar, spelling and punctuation.
