PAC Relaxation 201 Writing assignment 1: Stress Screening Test The stress screening test is designed to bring awareness to your own stress levels. After taking the test and calculating your scores from each category, write a 500 word one page single-spaced writing assignment on your personal interpretation and analysis of your scores. This is about learning to identify your life stressors, symptoms and coping strategies. Proper grammar, spelling, headings, and paragraphs is expected, to write a good college-level paper. Points will be deducted for not following the instructions. Condense and include the most important insights you’ve discovered about yourself through learning about the stress screening test. Please use 12 pt. Times New Roman type and 1” margins (top, bottom, and sides). Use only one space between paragraphs. Assignment 1 is due Sun. Oct.27 by 11:59pm. Due date is posted on Canvas under Assignments link. No late assignments will be accepted. If you have computerrelated issues, contact the OSU IT Help desk in advance of assignment due date. Indicate the symptoms and severity (mild, moderate, or severe) of each symptom of stress you have experienced recently into the spread sheet columns that you created. (Please note that you cannot write into the stress screening test file). 2. Write totals from each column. Points for each column. Add column points together for TOTAL CATEGORY SCORE. Do the same for all four categories: Symptoms, Stressors, Coping Behaviors/ Habits, and Life Events 3. Base your interpretation of the test including all four categories. Consider and discuss how stress impacts you; physically, mentally, and, emotionally. Take time for introspection and inner reflection to gain insight into your stress patterns. How are the stressors, symptoms, coping behaviors, and life events affecting you and impacting your daily life? Give examples from each category. This is about getting in touch with the personal impacts of stress. Identify and evaluate your current stressors. What stress symptoms do you deal with? Evaluate how you currently cope with stress? What life events have triggered and increased your stress levels? In evaluating the four categories, we can gain greater insight on how to create healthy coping behaviors to manage stress and improve our health and the quality of our lives. In turn, we can prevent chronic stress from negatively affecting us. Submit with your writing assignment: Spreadsheet with total score and your personal interpretation of your Stress Screening Test.
