BENCHMARK ASSIGNMENT: PROGRAM PROPOSAL AND POWERPOINT PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR BENCHMARK ASSIGNMENT: PROGRAM PROPOSAL AND POWERPOINT PRESENTATION PROPOSAL: Write a proposal for opening a new pre-school/daycare center. The proposal should be written as a Word document in APA format with a length of 8- 10 pages, not include the title and references pages, In addition, the proposal will include a properly formatted title page and reference page). Your proposal should include the following headings and include detailed and cited information about each of the areas: Philosophy of the center (include biblical foundation) Mission of the center Description of the facility itself, including health and safety plans • Licensure requirements that relate specifically to your center (Pennsylvania state license A preliminary budget that includes projected income and expenditures for the first year, including set-up costs (usually in chart form) • Organizational structure: the hierarchy – chain of command (chart form) Personnel hiring and management Curriculum to be used (publisher and scope) A time frame/calendar for implementation – chart form noting specific dates for implementation of the plan, from first step to opening date (about an 18-month process) Reference page in current APA form. References (at least 15 different sources) should come from Reading & Study sections in the 8 modules of the course. POWERPOINT PRESENTATION: After writing your proposal, create a 25-30 slide (including title and reference slides) PowerPoint that would be appropriate for presenting your proposal for a new pre-school/daycare center, to a group of stakeholders. Each of the slides should include minimal text, not long detailed paragraphs. The minimum sized font for a PowerPoint is 20 pts. The presentation should include charts and graphs and other visuals to make it attractive and clear (at least 8 total graphics). You should include at least two internal citations (in correct APA form) that support each of the sections from your plan. Your presentation should include each of the same areas that are required for the proposal. The headings of your slides should align with your formal proposal using each of the topics/sections stated above. Review the grading rubric for further details of the expectations of each section of the proposal. You must submit your Word document to SafeAssign by Monday of Week 7 to check for plagiarism.
