Psychology Framework: Advanced research methoods.
Aim:
This assignment aims to assess your knowledge of advanced research methods and applications of these methods in the area of your research interest. Task: You will need to create a portfolio that comprises two short articles for submission to the Psychologist, a forum for communication and discussion among members of the British Psychological Society (https://www.bps.org.uk/publications). Each article should introduce and critically evaluate applications of a chosen research method/technique in the context of research area of your choice.
For each article you will need to select one of the following research methods/techniques:
• – EEG; • – MRI (or fMRI, or DTI); • – TMS; • – Eye-tracking; • – Mixed-methods approach; • – Randomised controlled trials; • – Questionnaires. • Please, note: detailed guidance for this assignment will be posted by the end of week 14 (see separate announcement). • • Submission Format: Each article must be no longer than 1,250 words. If the word limit is exceeded, 10 marks will be deducted from the initial mark given for each article. The final mark of this assignment will be the average of the marks of the two articles. The reference section should be formatted according to the APA guidelines. The reference section and title will not be included in the word count. You must write the correct word count at the end of the document. The text should be left aligned.
