Reverse logistics and IoT in e-commerce.
The course is Retail Logistics and the assignment is to choose a topic and problematize it in the field of today’s reality. We had a few guest lectures from retailers like H&M, Zara, Amazon and different logistics service providers. The task is to introduce the setting, connect it with literature, describing what is out there at the moment and what are the main issues. We are allowed to use 5 articles outside of the reading list. The structure should be: introduction, problematization, theoretical background (literature review), methodology, body, conclusion. Start by introducing e-retail and problematizing on the returns. Then in the literature review section, review internet of things (IoT) and reverse logistics and connect them into the scene of ecommerce. In the methodology, use netnography or interviews (“with the retail perspective of the problem, since I specialize in logistics”). In the body, analysis of the collected data. In conclusion, be more critical towards the subject and draw conclusions, connect it to the intro.
