Rhetorical Analysis on Heroism: Why Heroes Are Important.
Description
Begin the document with the thesis, which should be 1-2 sentences that argues how the author creates a persuasive–or unpersuasive–argument. Then, develop 3 or 4 body paragraphs using supporting sentences (or claims). The first sentence of each body paragraph should serve as a strong topic sentence (which should be the claim that supports the thesis). Examples from the text should be specific–and support your thesis/argument/claim(s); in addition, quotes and summaries should be properly cited, using MLA guidelines. Do not include quotes longer than 3 lines. Include a Works Cited page at the end of your essay, in the same file. Unify these paragraphs by making sure that each one supports your thesis and that each paragraph includes transition words and phrases to make the essay flow organically from one paragraph to the next. Revise it focusing on both MUGS (Mechanics, Usage, Grammar, and Spelling). Make sure that you have an introduction and thesis (perhaps a revised thesis). Each of the body paragraphs should be devoted to a single argument with 2-3 pieces of supporting evidence/quotes. Write a conclusion which summarizes your argument and reminds your reader of your thesis statement. You MUST have a Works Cited page listing the essay that you are quoting from in order to avoid plagiarism. The Works Cited page is not considered one of the pages of your required text and must be at the end of the paper, not in a separate file. essay must be 3-5 pages long.
