I was just going to make up my answers to the questions – I didn’t interview anyone. After completing the assigned Reading & Study materials, choose 3–5 questions from the provided list below and interview a nurse who displays servant leadership qualities. After determining interview questions and completion of the interview, you will identify servant leader attributes demonstrated by Jesus Christ and incorporate into the body of the assignment. For the interview: • Select a nurse for the interview. • When you start the interview, confirm with your interviewee that he or she is granting you permission to use his/her responses for your course assignment. Interview Questions (Select at least 3-5 questions) • What do you think you can do in your leadership role to empower others? • What is your definition of a servant leader? • What are your personal leadership strengths? • What roles do you allow fellow staff members to play in collaborating on decisions? • Do you allow for staff members to meet their full potential? If so, how do you accomplish this goal? • How do you, as a servant leader, meet the needs of individual while continuing to meet group needs as a whole? • How do you handle suggestions and feedback when negotiating changes and improvements? • Would you describe yourself as a servant leader? If yes, can you given an example of your ability to display this trait. You may ask additional questions to elicit information related to the servant leadership role. The interview conducted prior to completing your assignment must last approximately 10 minutes. You may wish to record the interview or take extensive notes as this will help you with the written portion of this assignment. The written portion of the assignment must contain at least two scholarly, peer reviewed, research journal articles that are fewer than seven years old, be prepared in a 34-page Word document in current APA format, including: a title page, introduction, conclusion, a reference page that lists at least 2 scholarly, peer reviewed, research journal articles/sources that are fewer than 7 years old, and use of current APA headings. (Use abbreviated form of the interview questions as level 1 or level 2 paragraph headings and cite the interview information as a personal communication.) You are expected to draw on previous APA knowledge and use available APA resources to appropriately prepare this assignment in current APA format.
