I am in a state and local government econ class and I have to do an analysis of additional revenue and expenditures of 4 states and the united states as a whole, including an introduction, explanation of methodology, interpretation of the results across states and through time and conclusion. I will attach the data appendix of these states, please write a report of what you see in these charts. some things to include in your writing: What are the important fiscal characteristics of your state and local governments? For example: Which tax revenue source is most important in your states(state only)? Calculate percent of total state revenue (R01) that comes from (intergovernmental grants). R32 is grants from Fed to state. Compare your states to the United States. Which of the states has higher percentage of income going to taxes and which taxes? What percentage of each state’s revenues are raised by the state? Which expenditure functions are most important to your state(state only). How important are they as a percent of income? Comment on the state government’s reliance on intergovernmental grants. Has anything changed over time in terms of growth and shares?
