Statistical analysis and experimental design.
The aim of the assignment is to critically evaluate the data accrued from upright and supine hip replacement x-rays for the measurement of penetration depth/wear. Differences, if any, in the outcomes and recommendations going forward need to be addressed. The data shall be presented in terms of an executive summary. Objectives 1. Undertake an analysis of the data presented in the papers, if possible, using the appropriate statistical analyses. 2. Provide a critical review of the analyses including any criteria you would consider important when judging agreement in this particular circumstance. 3. Deliver a recommendation of which method (supine or upright radiographs) should be utilised when measuring wear/penetration. 4. Provide suggestions on improvements of the experimental design outlined in the four papers. 5. Write an executive summary (max 2-sides including diagrams).
