Here you will assess fundamental policy questions affecting the organization’s/agency’s mandates; mission and values; product or service level and mix, clients, users or payers, cost, financing, management, or organizational design. You will explain each identified strategic issue to include a succinct overview of the issue framed as a question the organization/agency can do something about. The explanation should also include the factors that make the issue an important policy question (what is it about mandates, mission, values or internal strengths and weaknesses and external opportunities and threats that make this a strategic issue?) Lastly, you should clearly highlight the consequences of failing to address the issue recommending one of the approaches outlined by Bryson. You can find the approaches in the PDF.
