Symbols in Everyday Life.
Culture provides us with a lens through which we interpret our world. Every day we come into contact with symbols that we are familiar with but do not normally have to explain. These symbols can be in our homes, on our clothes, our skin (tattoos), or depicted in our jewelry. Choose a symbol that you have in your home, work place, school, or that is depicted on something you own. Assuming your classmates and I are from another culture and have no common frame of reference, explain to us what that symbol is and what it means.
