When it comes to ethical leadership and organization, there is an abundance of research. Dozens of case studies and real-life examples illustrate how ethics is incorporated in the business world. It is important to be able to comprehend all of the different information and decide what is relevant to your own ethical organization. Ethics is the cornerstone of a successful organization that is sustaining and has longevity. Additionally, reading and comprehending literature is the foundation of your degree program.
This week, you will create an annotated bibliography. Conduct a comprehensive search of the scholarly literature in the NCU Library and locate 3-5 scholarly articles concerning the core principles of ethical organizations published in the past three years. Although the articles may vary, it will be important for you to identify what the author considers as the core principles of each article.
This annotated bibliography should provide sufficient background on the topic to provide a foundation for additional scholarly work.
Begin each annotation with an APA-formatted reference for the source at the top of the page. Follow the reference with an annotation that includes: Summary: Your summary should be more than a simple rehash of what is in the articleit should include an analysis of the information. What are the main arguments? What is the purpose of this article? What topics are covered? What type of research was conducted? What were the results? Assessment: After summarizing a source, you should evaluate it. Is it a useful source? Is the information reliable? Is this source biased or objective? Were there any limitations? What is the goal of this source? What is its relevance to the topic? What are the studys strengths and weaknesses? Reflection: Once you have summarized and assessed a source, you need to ask how it fits into your research. Was this source helpful to you? How does it help you shape your argument? How can you use this source in your research project? Has it changed how you think about your topic?
Each annotation should be no longer than one page in length. The original reference in an annotated bibliography does not serve as a reference for any citations in your summary of the source. You must properly cite the work within your annotation and include a reference page at the end.
Once you have written each annotation, conclude your assignment with a comprehensive summary comparing the articles and identifying any gaps that may appear.
Length: 3 pages, not including title or reference pages
References: Include a minimum of 3 to 5 scholarly resources.
Your annotated bibliography should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
