Write an essay that considers the effect of the new federal carbon tax rebates. The essay should first, summarize the new policy, second, using economic analysis, identify the effects of the proposed policy, and who might benefit and who might lose based on this policy. Students should be careful to focus on positive analysis. All analysis should be based on the principals of microeconomics we have discussed in the class. Hence there is no need to research other articles on this policy.
This essay should be uploaded to Turnitin by submitting it to the course webpage on Quercus before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018. In addition, students should check the originality report that Turnitin.com creates for their work after submitting their work. A submission with a similarity index of higher than 5% will not be accepted (excluding bibliography and quoted material).
The essay should be between 1-2 pages, and in Roman Times (12 pt.), double spaced, with 2.5 cm margins. APA format should be used for in-text citations and the reference list.
