The Sources Credibility
The topic that I chose for my Rogerian Argument essay is one on Police brutality. All the three sources that I analyze on their credibility, accuracy, and purpose are on police brutality. The first article is named ‘Police Brutality and Racism in America.’ It comes from the Public health Emergency Collection journal. I consider this source a legitimate one that is reliable and credible. It is because it provides a well-reasoned, thorough discussion and an argument centered on strong evidence about police brutality. It is usually vital to use articles on the internet that are credible such as this one. Apart from that, this article is up to date since it was printed in September 2020. It is up to date, and I consider it legitimate because it is published within the last ten years. I will be able to use this document to draw facts on the argument of police brutality.
The second source that I consider comes from the International Journal of Communication. It is named ‘Race and Police Brutality: The Importance of Media Framing.’ It explores how the framing of a violent confrontation between an African American woman and a White police officer affects people’s perceptions of the incident. I consider it relevant since the information pertains to my topic and covers it well enough in-depth to meet my needs. According to authority, the source is transcribed by well-known and respectable writers on the website that is registered by an educational institution. It is a peer-reviewed source which makes me consider it legitimate. This source will be of more benefit to me in writing my Capstone Rogerian essay.
The third source is named ‘Prayer, Protest, and Police Brutality’ and published by the American Anthropology Association. The information is up to date, trustworthy, and credible. The source is well written, organized, and looks professional. The name of the author is indicated in the article, and the information appears accurate. I will use this article on my Capstone Rogerian Essay because it does the most thorough job covering the issue it is reporting on.
