The term paper is an essay wherein you will critically analyze or assess the various theories, approaches, and issues relevant to the course. You are to select a topic of your choice NOT the topics of the chapters of the textbook in order to demonstrate that you understand the major ideas and tenets of what you will be writing about.
The paper should not provide a simple summary of ONE approach or theory but instead should focus on how the other theories and approaches fit together while addressing their strengths and limitations. The papers will be evaluated based on their analytical strength, originality, and quality of presentation.
To receive full credit for your essay it MUST include the necessary components of an essay (introduction, body, and conclusion), use proper sentence structure, grammar, spelling, and it must be formatted using APA 7. Never use abbreviations, text language, slang etc.). These criteria are fully outlined on the Term Paper Rubric which has been provided to you on the Moodle course page.
This paper will be 5-6 pages, double-spaced, Times New Roman font-12, 1inch margins, no extra spaces between paragraphs and use APA style referencing. Each paper requires a cover page, including name, a topic, date, the course title, my name, and a reference page. Cover pages and reference lists do not count toward the page requirement. Papers that are over or under the page requirement will be penalized.
The paper must have 6-7 peer reviewed academic sources. These are articles written by experts and are reviewed by several other experts in the field before the article is published in the journal in order to ensure the article’s quality.
