Topic: love, Power and Tradition

Overview

Shakespeare is famous for the use of Elizabethan English to express the lifestyle in the ancient England. This was in terms of how people maneuvered their way to power and what they had to do to maintain it. This can be clearly seen in one of his books, ‘The Merchant of Venice’ which is a reflection of most of his themes. Power, love and Tradition are evidently manipulated by the rich and powerful at the expense of the poor. Over the years, Shakespeare’s works have received positive and negative criticism due to his openness and unveiling of the reality in his world.
