 Review the information about the Fair Labor Standards act on the Department of Labor website, you should have a good understanding of what the federal minimum wage is and how it came to be. Now, it’s for you to weigh in on the recent debate about the minimum wage. Begin by performing a search to find current information on the recent debate over the minimum wage in the U.S. (We’d suggest you begin your search with the NAU Online Library’s Business Subject Guide and/or ProQuest Newsstand.) Find a minimum of 3 credible outside sources about this debate. Write an APA-style paper explaining why you think the federal minimum wage should or should not be raised, and if so, to what. Whatever action you support, discuss the repercussions of it upon employers, employees, and the economy as a whole. Support your position with the sources you found in your search, your textbook, and information about the FLSA from the Department of Labor website. Your APA-style paper must be 3-5 pages (750-1250 words) in length not including cover page and reference page. You must cite a minimum of five sources the DOL website. Your textbook may be used in addition to your five primary resources, but will not be considered a primary source.
