You are being asked to develop a Community Assessment Plan, not implement one. Thus, you will be expected to design a Community Assessment Plan using the steps outlined below. I REPEAT, IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS COMMUNITY ASSESSMENT PLAN IS NOT REQUIRED. The following six steps are necessary when planning for Community Assessment and will be required for completion of this assignment: Step 1: Setting Assessment objectives and boundaries Clearly define the Assessment objectives. Conduct a review of existing information, including any past Assessment activities before finalizing the objectives. In particular, consider: Who will be making the final decision? What are the questions you would like the Assessment activities to answer? What do you want the Assessment to achieve? What level of Assessment do you feel is appropriate? Step 2: Identify the stakeholders Identify all groups and individuals within the community what will be affected or have an interest in the effort. Not all stakeholders will need to be engaged at the same level, so identification of their needs to determine the Assessment activities that might be required and at which stage of the plan will be necessary. Consider past experiences with the community concerning similar issues or any previous consultation or research which may have been undertaken.
