1. “A variety of theoretical models and approaches underlying family practice have developed over the past decades. Many family assessment ideas are presented, described, or summarized within this book. These include techniques and methods found in approaches such as solution-focused family therapy, strategic family therapy, multisystemic family therapy, cognitive-behavioral family therapy, brief strategic family therapy, family psychoeducation model, the McMaster model of family functioning, and models such as integrative family and systems treatment (I-FAST)” (Tomlinson, p. 68). PICK ONE of the approaches listed above and identify it. 2. Locate (in the library database), read, cite, and attach to your post an academic journal article that discusses this approach. 3. Explain why you feel the approach you picked would be helpful to families using the text and the article you identified to support your response. You may use a case example to demonstrate your rationale for this. 4. Explain if and how you feel the approach you selected is/ is not cognizant of the trauma histories of families (use and cite the SAMHSA document and the article you selected to support your response.).
