Exposition Paper(50% of the final grade):At the heart of the course lies the goal of developing the student’s ability to methodically “unpack” the text of Scripture and, ultimately, apply it to his/herown life and the lives of others for the glory of God. The best way to accomplish this goal isthrough the exercise of writing, and specifically writing an exposition of a particular passage. Please use the following outline for the expository paper: Title Page (1page) Introduction (1/2page) Formal Outline of biblical passage (1page) Context: a) Literary; b) Historical Context (3-4pages) Content (body of the paper) (7-10pages) Theological Significance(2page) Application (1page) Bibliography(1 page)
