Term Paper Guidelines For this assignment, my topic is Informed Consent, Written Consent, Implied Consent, in regards to language barriers and incompetency. Discuss why this issue is an ethical dilemma for you, including: I have witnessed many problems with people who speak Spanish who are not properly informed regarding procedures, tests, and surgeries. Many Spanish speaking patients sign consents without really understanding the risks and benefits and are not given the same opportunities as American speaking patients to seek a 2nd opinion or get the questions and concerns they have addressed by their physicians. These patients unknowingly and blindly get operated on and have no idea how to handle it. What are the Ethical principles involved or conflicting ethical theories b.
