part of this course represents technology affecting human resources. therefore, each student is required to write a 6-7 page research paper reflecting the effect of technology on current human resource practices. papers must include two to three examples with sufficient detail that describes what the technology is, how it impacts current human resource management as compared to previous HR practice based on older technology, why the new technology is on the horizon, and your experience, if any, with any of these examples. papers must also include an introduction and conclusion, both a paragraph long. use the APA 6th edition. (You can search the Internet for appropriate requirements if you do not have a copy of the APA style publication.) it should follow the requirements of the APA 6th edition manual with text, citing sources both in the text and on the reference page, and using tables and appendices as appropriate. one exception is the personal pronoun. it is now allowable to form personal pronouns in scholarly writing with first-person orientation. also, include a title page, headings, and a reference page, but no table of contents or abstract, please. make sure to use headings and subheadings, according to APA requirements. part of the grade is to use outside sources to bolster your arguments. the paper requires five outside scholarly sources. you cannot use Wikipedia sources under any circumstances. the instructor will severely deduct points for these. it must be written in word with 12 pt, Times New Roman font, 1″ margin, no right justification, and double spaced (Do not Increase spacing between paragraphs). the entire paper must not include lists of any type; all-prose must be narratively presented. as mentioned above, the use of displays or visual aids (tables, graphs, and charts) are permitted. however, they must be placed in the appendix because of the paper’s rather limited length. if your paper has a visual aid, make sure to cite it in the paper with a reference to the appropriate appendix. refer to APA standards on how to do this correctly. written work grade rubric 1. APA compliant paper (5pts)- APA 6th complaint title page, double-spaced, used APA 6th ed. headings to organize work, 1.0 margins and has an APA reference page. References must be cited in the text and vice versa. MUST have 5 outside sources as references. must have all components of APA for max point value. 2. Grammar and Instructions (7pts,)- less than 3 spelling and/or syntax errors, logically organized and mechanics are sound, no points off. every three errors equal 1 point deduction, including typos. please proofread or use the writing center. all instructions are clearly followed. points will be deducted for instructions not followed. 3. Written Work (13pts)- (A) page length should be more than 7 pages, written concisely, organized logically. (B) paper flows smoothly; it requires no more than one reading with few or no-repeat passes in sections. (C) Technology examples are well researched, explained, and supported by outside sources.
