DAP Activity Packets: Each student is required to submit three developmentally and culturally appropriate practice packets, choosing the following: toddlers (12 months-36 months) Requirements for the packet: Developmentally Appropriate Literature: Identify the age group in years and provide the names of the books, authors, and picture of the cover (when possible). Explain why and/ or how these books are DCAP for children of this age. Use three books. Developmentally Appropriate Activities for the Cognitive Domain: Identify and explain 3 DAP activities that promote cognitive development and explain why and/ or how the chosen activity is DAP. For preschool and primary children, **cognitive activities must reflect a Maryland Common Core State Curriculum Framework (http://www.mdk12.org/instruction/commoncore/index.html) Developmentally Appropriate Activities for the Physical Domain: Identify and explain 3 DAP activities to promote physical development and explain why and/ or how the activities are DAP. Developmentally and Culturally Appropriate Activities for Social/Emotional Development: Identify and explain 3 DAP activities to promote healthy social/emotional development. ** At least one activity must illustrate a culturally appropriate activity.
