Matera and Cappadocia Comparison.
Description Matera is a province in Italy and Cappadocia is a province in Turkey. They have similarities and differences, illustrate these cave dwellings in the dissertation. Here is how the structure of the dissertation should be: 1)Contents page Illustrating all the titles and parts from introducion to conclusion. 2)Introduction There needs to be an introduction explaining the structure of the following dissertation. What will be mentioned and discussed? The titles and subtitles needs to be explained. Matera ( cave town in Italy) and Cappadocia (cave town in Turkey) needs to be announced in a very clear way in this paragraph. The intention of the dissertation needs to be clear in this section. 3)Main body ( subtitles, paragraphs) The dissertation will focus on Cappadocia and Matera, two different but at the same time very similar ancient civilisations. The dissertation will compare them both focussing mainly on architectural aspects, storage systems (water storages, food storages, wine making cells etc.), underground cities, systems, shelters, excavated rooms, stereotomic architecture, different living styles of the people, culture, interactions, architectural styles, why they were designed in a certain way?, what effected this design?, characteristics of the rock, materials, stories of these 2 different world heritages, cave dwellings, influence of these mysterious and unique places. Comparison (differences and similarities in under these topics) in an argumentative way. There needs to be pictures for illustration and for diversity, (plans, sections, topography, geology, culture etc.) 4)Conclusion It needs to be clear and it needs to explain what has been achieved with this dissertation. 5)Bibliography Harvard style (very important) Sources for illustrations and photos need to be shown in a different section (illustration bibliography)
