Policing (Border Policing).
Instructions: Each chapter is divided into three sections and your presentations should cover all three sections: (1) Issues relevant to the chapter topic; (2) Reforms that have been attempted; and (3) Alternatives to the current policing-oriented approach to these issues. (NOTE: The Political Policing chapter does not have a section on reform so the chapter is divided into a discussion on (1) Issues and (2) Alternatives). Each individual’s submitted notes should summarize and highlight the major issues raised by the author for your specific topic (i.e. discuss problems with policing each issue (homelessness, mental illness, etc), the problems with any past attempted reforms, and the alternatives suggested by the author).
