A Peoples History of the United States by Howard Zinn.
Description As Stated in the syllabus, “You will read Chapters 11-25 of A Peoples History of the United States by Howard Zinn and write TWO chapter reviews over what they read. Chapter Reviews should include a clear understanding of the historical argument laid out in the chapter by the author, support evidence used in the chapter, and the student’s personal opinion of the chapter’s argument and evidence (i.e. do you support the author’s argument and evidence or do you not and WHY). Each of the essays should be between 500-600 words in length. Each student should submit their chapter review essays by the assigned deadline. Citations are required for this assignment. This assignment is aimed at assessing each student’s analytical, comprehension and writing skills. More information about this assignment as well as examples will be provided during the course of the semester.” As Stated in the announcement from October 28, “Please note, you are only required to do TWO Zinn Chapter summaires. You will pick the TWO chapters that are of most interest to you to write a review.
