Sounds, Layers, Buttons Exercise In this exercise you will be working with the following: • Creating and managing layers • Editing sound clips • Creating symbols o Movie clip symbols o Button symbols Adding interactivity • Creating and editing text • Aligning items within the document 1. Unpack and open the start file folder (all the assets you need to complete the exercise are in the library). 2. Duplicate the ‘lion’ button so that there are 3 buttons total (lion, monkey, and elephant. Place all on the ‘button’ layer 3. Add a gray color for the button background on the ‘over’ state. 4. Add the appropriate sound clip to the ‘down’ state of all 3 buttons -lion sound clip for lion button, etc. 5. Add a layer called ‘text’ which will be positioned above the buttons and say “Hear the different animal sounds” 6. Tween the monkey and elephant images onto the stage at different keyframes. Place all 3 images on their own layer within the ‘images’ folder. When your file is complete upload your FLA file to the Canvas course site.
