How did you approach this (with trepidation, delight, fear, loathing), why, and how and why did this assignment change (or not) change your view of reading poetry? How do these two poems by Walt Whitman speak to each other? Select a passage from each poem and describe their similarities. Or, describe how either of those selected passages relate to The Perfect Compliment. How are your favorite song lyrics descendants of either of these poems? (Consider loss, travel, yearning, love found, lost, hope desire, or any other emotion.)
