This assignment is designed to give students experience in preparing a proposal for a small research project based on your litreture review The submission has a maximum of 7 pages, excluding references and appendices. The text must be in 12 point font and double spaced. DO NOT EXCEED THE PAGE LIMIT. The mark will be based just on what is within the 7 page limit, any text beyond 7 pages will be ignored. Content Research proposals can involve qualitative, quantitative or mixed methods designs. As with your first assignment, your proposal will include a title and an abstract (maximum 250 words). Your literature review is to be a synopsis only (approximately 1 page; excluding aims and research questions, etc. of the present study). Following the literature review, you will include the aims of your study, your research question/s and if appropriate hypotheses (approx. half a page; may be much less). You will then set out the proposed Methods (Participants, Materials, Procedures, Methods of Analysis) – including reference to ethical issues involved in your study (approx. 2 pages), expected Results/ Outcomes (approx. 1 page), Potential Impact and Implications (approx. 1 page), and Limitations of the Study. At the end you will include References and any Appendices (these are not included in your page limit).
