In the face of climate change, policy makers or public managers have worked diligently to adopt policies to mitigate climate change and to adapt to climate risks. In this assignment, I want you to develop a 500 word document discussing two different specific policies in climate adaptation or climate mitigation (in other words two policies for climate mitigation or two policies for climate adaptation). The US Clean Power Plan is an example of climate mitigation policy. Carbon tax is another example of climate mitigation policy. Living Shorelines Legislative Initiative within Virginia Senate Bill 964 is an example of state-level climate adaptation program. In discussing, you should compare the two policies that you chose and explain how they are different or similar in terms of the principles and applications of adapting to climate change or mitigating climate change. The policies can be discussed at different levels of government (local, municipal, national, or international). Please include at least three citations from primary references (they can be government documents, peer-reviewed journal articles, or reports released from environmental research think-thank groups).
