Discuss the role of motivational theory in performance management and how HR can utilise this
knowledge

‘appraisals’, ‘Coaching’ and ‘Balanced Scorecards’.
Outcome 5 – Employment Law, common legislation and process for change of employment terms
Identify the most common sources of Law
Consider the purpose and benefits of employment law for different stakeholders
Discuss the basic process to address workplace disputes, and the various systems that could be
utilised.
Investigate specific employment legislation that HR will need to be aware of and manage to
support the business and employees. Examples of local cases here will develop discussion further
Consider appropriate legislation to consider when there is a significant change in a working
arrangement and the practices to implement during change
